Dr Carol Dawber is an established, experienced and versatile writer who enjoys working with clients to realise their dreams. She is the author of 17 books and is a skilled interviewer, editor and indexer.

Biographical Note
Carol is a former journalist who has been a fulltime freelance writer for 20 years and in that time has written 17 books (including three fiction) in her own name, edited 25 others and written television scripts (Shortland St). She specialises in local and family history, biography, industry and organisation history and is the managing editor of River Press. She has an PhD (English) from Canterbury University. She is a member of the Writers’ Guild, the National Oral History Association of New Zealand (NOHANZ) and the Australia New Zealand Society of Indexers (ANZSI) and has worked extensively in these fields. She has basic skills in Te Reo Maori and is available for shorter contracts including academic writing and copy editing.
