Biographical Note
Despite graduating with an LLB and having every intention of becoming a lawyer, Soraya had a last minute change of heart and decided to follow her creative intuition. A childhood aspiration to become a writer developed into a career opportunity and she has never looked back. Soraya writes regularly for well-known local and national publications, in addition to completing copy-writing work for boutique companies. Mainly focusing on beautiful properties all over the country, she has also been known to take on jobs that see her writing restaurant reviews, penning travel & lifestyle stories and even completing web copy about truly decadent chocolate.

Soraya also has a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing from the University of Canterbury. She is a talented fiction writer, and enjoys weaving creativity into many of the features she writes. Soraya's MFA thesis was the completion of a 100,00-word fiction novel on the journey of four war brides from London to New York, at the end of World War II, to be reunited with their American husbands. 

Soraya is currently available to complete editorial, copywriting, ghostwriting or biography work at competitive market rates.
