Why commission me? I’m an award-winning journalist who can write anything from long-form features on any topic through to profiles and short, snappy reviews. Fiendishly organised, I’m also an excellent editor, subeditor, proof-reader, publicist and copywriter.

Biographical Note
If it’s words you want written or polished, look no further.

An award-winning feature writer, I was on staff at North & South magazine for three-and-a-half years (2004-2007), and have since freelanced for 20 New Zealand magazines (both stand-alone and newspaper-insert magazines) and the occasional newspaper. My main publications are North & South, NZ House & Garden, the Herald on Sunday's View magazine, the Reader's Digest, Next, and the Weekend Herald's Canvas magazine.

While I’m naturally drawn to the arts, profiles and social issues, I’ve written hundreds of stories spanning long-form science and business writing through to book, film and TV reviews. I can tackle any subject and have interviewed everyone from Dame Helen Mirren to sick children.

A highly motivated go-getter who takes initiative and thinks laterally, I’m skilled at adapting my many ideas, style and tone to any publication and readership, while still maintaining a strong voice. My top-notch time-management and organisational skills see me easily switch between different stories and projects, always meeting deadlines and other commitments.

I have experience as an editor, proof-reader, subeditor, media coordinator, press-release writer and advertorial writer - and the confidence, determination and drive to tackle and succeed at any project or role.

My awards and nominations are as follows:
The Magazine Awards 2011: Journalist of the Year (Lifestyle) finalist
The Magazine Awards 2011: Journalist of the Year (Home, Food & Garden) finalist
The Magazine Awards 2010: Journalist of the Year (Women’s Interest) finalist
