Biographical Note
With a master's degree in publishing, nine years experience as a writer and editor, and a background in law, Sarah can transform complex or technical content into plain English without compromising meaning.

Sarah will project manage publications from concept to print. She works on corporate and statutory documents, legal texts, annual and strategic plans and reports, tenders, technical manuals, local and corporate histories, newsletters, brochures, illustrated books and websites.

Legal
Sarah combines her legal and publishing skills to ensure texts are both accurate and readable. Past projects include writing courses on the law for the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, writing a chapter on tax for Compliance and Your Business published by Brookers Ltd in 2004, editing web content on intellectual property, and rewriting Auckland City Council's Delegations Register into plain English.

Corporate and financial
Sarah works on the annual plans, annual reports, strategic plans and long-term council community plans of numerous councils, district health boards, corporations and social services organisations. She has been heavily involved in drafting community outcomes for Auckland City Council and the Futures Waikato project.

In addition, Sarah has long-standing corporate clients for whom she produces newsletters, brochures, website content, marketing materials and other corporate publications.

Technical
Sarah has written and edited technical specification manuals for the process engineering and landscaping industries, and was the editor of Building Works, a manual and website for the UK building industry (see www.endat.com ). She routinely writes tenders for companies in a variety of industries.

Websites
Sarah writes and edits web content for businesses and local authorities. Two sites she has recently worked on are www.ssw.org.nz and www.waikatodistrict.govt.nz .

Local histories and illustrated books

Sarah researches, writes and edits local and corporate histories, including recently for the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand and Mt Roskill Ward in Auckland. She is co-author of Walk Europe and National Parks Europe, two volumes in a series of glossy travel guides for the UK and American markets.
