Biographical Note
I write on business, economics, politics, current affairs, books specially related to India.
I am a stringer with a leading global energy publication group based in London. I am the only correspondent covering the Indian oil and gas, power and coal industries for the group’s various daily, weekly and monthly issues.
My articles on business, economic and social issues, besides book reviews, have appeared in a number of Indian and international newspapers, magazines and websites.
As a consultant, I have undertaken projects on competition intelligence, industry reports and content development for Indian companies and foreign investors.
I am also an academic consultant with a multi-campus B-School headquartered in Kolkata. In this role, I have written academic articles and have developed course modules for Economics and International Business. I have also worked with leading research institutions in New Delhi, where I wrote and presented research papers.
I was educated in premier universities in India, namely Jawaharlal Nehru University, N Delhi and Delhi School of Economics. I began my career with Business Standard in Kolkata. Following this, I spent 12 years working in corporate and industry research with government-sponsored institutions and companies in Delhi and Kolkata.
