Biographical Note
A microbiologist in a previous life, I have operated a small writing, editing and proofreading business for the past 14 years. My full-length works have included a text book, a management report on antibiotics, a science fiction novel, and two crime novels. I have also ghost-written family histories, autobiographies, articles, speeches, and full-length technical works. A series of articles on the science of sex for Australian Forum was later collected and published in book form. Other articles on medical and scientific topics have been syndicated. I have written or edited medical and scientific papers and theses for clients in Turkey, Kuwait, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Canada, and other countries, as well as Australia, and edited books for clients in USA in subjects as diverse as economics and information technology. Among my more unusual assignments was supplying a total of 10,000 Australian-specific quiz questions for an English games manufacturer. My sole attempt at short story writing was a runner-up in the inaugural HQ short story contest.
