Biographical Note
Kirsten Rose is a Wellington-based writer who runs The Real Article, a business specialising in writing, editing and proofreading. 

Trained as a journalist, Kirsten worked for the National Business Review and The Main Report (writing the business, agriculture and executive health and wealth newsletters) before moving into research, working on several non-fiction books and coordinating the national Maori education project, Te Kotahitanga. These experiences paved her way into marketing and communications where she worked for three years at the University of Otago School of Business prior to moving into consultancy in 2007. 

Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Communication Studies and Master of Arts (Honours). 

Kirsten’s projects include: 

Communications support for Special Olympics New Zealand including writing copy for and design management of Fanletter and the World Summer Games special newsletter series, and ad hoc communications. 
Communications support for OK Health Services including writing its monthly newsletter and website copy.
A monthly media review for an energy sector client (2008-current)
Editing a book detailing the successes of a high-profile education programme
Sub-editing and proofreading Que Magazine (editions two, three and four)
Compiling and editing a training module for an international education pilot 
Reporting on the Heath Research Council of New Zealand’s inaugural DHB Research Fund Workshop (view report)

Over the course of her career Kirsten has had numerous articles published in newspapers, magazines and industry publications—both under her own by-line and in the role of ‘ghost-writer’ for others. Published writings include:
