Biographical Note
Jane Smith worked for several years in medical publishing, first as an editor and then writing books for patients, before setting up her own company – Personal Heritage Publications (PHP) – to write and publish people’s life stories for distribution amongst their own families and friends. PHP is still running successfully, but Jane now concentrates primarily on her work as a professional ghostwriter, writing books for commercial publication by some of the UK’s top publishers.
Recently acclaimed by the editor at a major UK publishing company as ‘the female Andrew Crofts’, Jane has written many published books, including, most recently, the story of a young woman’s struggle with body dysmorphic disorder – ‘The Butterfly Girl’ by Racheal Baughan, published in March 2008 by John Blake Publishing – and ‘Forgive You, Daddy’ by Lizzie McGlynn, which entered the UK Top Ten Bestsellers' list shortly after it was published by Headline Publishing on 9th July 2009.
