Biographical Note
Specialist in local government documents and public education material.
I hold an MA Hons. in English (2002). I have NZ teacher training and training in speech and language therapy.
I have worked for 16 years with the Auckland Regional Council writing school education material in Waste and Recycling and Cleaner Production manuals and fact sheets for business and industry.
For the last two years I was the supervising editor, editing all agenda reports to council as well as a wide range of other council documents including policy documents, submissions, consents and rates.
I also wrote the Auckland Regional Council style guide and held workshops and gave presentations in using the style guide, as well as using plain English,punctuation and grammar.
I will travel in New Zealand and Australia giving workshops in plain English use, and will proof or edit a wide range of writing styles. I will prepare text for web pages.
