I write, edit, ghost-write and co-write anything. Books, marketing and business content, web and blog content, feature articles, press releases and more.
I write creatively on book projects, my own, and as a contractor for clients.
I’m equally comfortable in the business world, delivering polished, professional content. I favour clean, crisp copy which engages the reader and holds their attention. Experience across many sectors – corporate, academia, small business, advertising – makes me versatile. I deliver accurate, engaging copy that doesn’t need sub-editing.
I have blogged extensively and turned my own blog about moving to Tasmania into a book, for which I’m represented by Curtis Brown literary agency. The manuscript is under review by Australian publishers.
I’m all over social media and I’d like you to be too. Find me as Fiona Stocker or Apple Island Wife on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
I’ve run small businesses for years and believe they can have the same advantages as the corporate world when it comes to content, since words are free! (Although I will charge you for any I write for you.)
I write and advise on press releases. Do you have a business or organisation or event you’d like coverage for? I can help you identify the pith, or hook, of your story – the bit the journos are going to be interested in. The rest is waffle.
In an unexpected turn of events, I have become a pig farmer and gourmet food producer, running Langdale Farm Pork with my husband from our five acre farm in the Tamar Valley, Tasmania.
Material I write includes books, web content, press releases, marketing material, brochures, feature articles, coffee table books, biographies, About Us pages.
Samples of work can be found on my website www.fionastocker.com and on my Tasmanian blog www.appleislandwife.com
