Biographical Note
I had my writing first published when I was ten years old. Back then it was poetry. I loved poetry. I'd create a few lines about the colour of the grass or the birds in the sky, send it on to The Sunday News, eagerly await Sunday to come along, then thumb madly through the paper to the kids page hoping to see my name in print. And sometimes it was. The best part was receiving the two or three dollar postal order which I would cash and then blow the lot on lollies. Three dollars bought a lot of lollies 30 years ago! 

Then I grew up. I forgot all about poetry. I traded that in for a university degree in archaeology which took me to some amazing places. After a year of literally scrambling around in the dirt, I realised that in fact, I really didn't like to get my hands dirty (again literally). It wasn't so much the archaeology that I loved, as it was the amazing places that archaeology had taken me. So I became a travel consultant. I've enjoyed that role for the past nine years. 

Recently, I've been working part-time as a travel consultant whilst building a body of published work. To date I've had a travel article about Barcelona published at www.holidaystoeurope.com.au. I've also written approximately 25 web articles on mainly travel-related subjects e.g. visa requirements for travel, passport validity, child meals on flights. They can be found on www.suite101.com and www.hubpages.com. I also write for www.essaywriters.com, with my main topics being all manner of History, English, and Creative Writing subjects. My main areas of interest are travel, health and nutrition (I've been a keen gym-goer for about 15 years), fashion, celebrity, books, and movies.
