Biographical Note
DONNA BLABER is a fully qualified journalist, photographer and public relations professional who possesses a wealth of experience writing for a diverse range of audiences from students to executives. She can meet tight deadlines and is well versed in all aspects of publishing including the complete management of the production process.

Donna writes clearly and accurately in a style to suit her audience, and is a skilled editor who enjoys working on newsletters, web pages, brochures, company profiles, inhouse magazines, press releases and undertaking various communications assignments. She has completed a number of projects working alongside marketing professionals and guarantees a completely confidential service.
Donna has an uncanny ability to draw readers into her written word. For example in mid 2002 she was contracted by New Zealand Autocar magazine to set up a new lifestyle section comprising travel, food and wine. According to AC Nielsen’s figures and the publisher’s March 2003 editorial, the addition of her section resulted in a significant rise in readership numbers—from 136,000 to 164,000 readers.

Donna’s most recent achievement was the completion of her first book “New Zealand Driving Holidays” and she has been a finalist in the Cathay Pacific Travel Media Awards for the ‘Best Article Written About NZ’ in both 2004 and 2005. A well known NZ travel writer she enjoys writing descriptive features on NZ, with a focus on free and independent travel by road. Her articles include what to do and see en route, and cleverly entwine local history, legends, Maori culture and geography, with up-to-the-minute adventure activities, outdoor pursuits and local lifestyle, plus food and wine.

Donna is a skilled photographer and shoots high-resolution digital images to accompany her written work.
Although she has a permanent part time contract as lifestyle/travel editor at NZ Autocar magazine, Donna currently seeks further assignments to complement her experience and she looks forward to working with you on your next project.
