Colin has over 30 years technical experience in the aviation sector as a jet engine specialist. He has been a technical trade training instructor for over 15 years and wrote most of his manuals and instructor guides in support of student learning and assessment.
Colin is a registered NZQA assessor in the aviation industry domain and is able to assess students for NZQA unit standards towards aviation qualifications.
For last 5 years Colin has been a technical writer specialising in print and online (pdf) presentation of publications. He writes documents for technical manuals, training design and instructional development. He uses Quicksilver (Interleaf) Technical Publishing Suite for publishing, but also uses MSWord, Framemaker and Acrobat publishers.

Colin has written training books and assessment guides for industry trade organizations that are allied to NZQA. He also wrote the unit standards and assessment guides for heavy transport drivers wanting to upgrade their qualifications.
