Biographical Note
I discovered 16 years ago that I had the ability to capture, and express in words situations and occasions when others weren't able to. Areas covered in brief, in either poetic or straight form, are occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, christenings; descriptive/poetic enticements for real estate; descriptive/poetic writing for plated food (cookbooks; menus; special's blackboards); catalogues; brief articles; small profiles; ads; summarising holiday locations, entertainment interviews, defining boat names; lyrics; wedding proposals; old-fashioned love letters... Bring back some romance I say! I do write 'gifty' verses in my casual calligraphy and like them presented as a scroll. Quirky or serious - often it's left up to me. Not fancy wording, but I get the message across - and with poetry, it may be olde worlde, or modern...rhyming or non. I must stress that although poetic wording is easy for me, I do enjoy serious, straight writing. Polishing I adore, and knocking things right back to required length. Generally making things sound better! Happy to do projects, but would also like a regular situation. There is no need for me to meet my client in person. Phone, mail and email contact is all that's needed to liaise. To work from anywhere is the idea of course. Either visuals via email, or just a detailed brief will usually suffice. My ability has been noted in several magazines and my work has been featured; lengthy verse on headstone of a journalist; two poems are gracing the external walls of our council building approximately 6 foot high for years as a result of my suggestion to vamp up our main drag!! Nothing like a challenge? There are many areas within 'Styles of Writing', and I'm constantly thinking of new angles never touched before. Perhaps you have an idea you'd like to put to me?
