Biographical Note
Astrid can help you with substantive editing to improve content and scope, detailed editing section by section, proofreading, researching, writing and rewriting. She has been a successful researcher and publisher’s editor in London and New Zealand, and for many years a university lecturer in New Zealand. The underlying skills of her degrees are critical reading, clear writing, and assessing and constructing a coherent argument.

She is happy to work on topics in the humanities, especially history including art history, commerce, management, sociology, law including intellectual property and medical ethics, and some economics. She also enjoys working on biological science topics. In 2006 she began editing fiction and poetry. She has experience in editing and writing books, journal articles, research reports, conference papers, and PhD and masters theses. Her articles have been published in international academic journals, including Enterprise & Society: The International Journal of Business History, and in local journals, including New Zealand Business Law Quarterly, New Zealand Journal of History, New Zealand Medical Journal and National Business Review.

Currently she is working for Scribendi Inc., English language and proofreading services in Canada, Dove Medical Press in New Zealand, and various individuals. She is familiar with the principles of the Chicago Manual of Style, Harvard style, MLA style and APA style.
